Been messing around with Substance Designer. Nothing really to report, just that’s it’s pretty cool and easy to use. Here’s an image of the interface. Substance Designer is a Material Authoring program. It’s very VERY quickly become the standard in PBR Material authoring. It’s node based and procedural in nature with robust features.
I’ve mentioned Slib Browser before, but I wanted to go thru updating assets to the library. Here I am taking the Kitbash 3d Victorian set with textures and adding it to my library.
A quick way to pre-visualize terrains: terrain.party It’s a great website that allows you to download height fields of anywhere in the world. I brought these into Maya on a simple plane and added a texture deformer to visualize the terrain.
